Answers on who this is for, how engagements get scoped, what they cost, what the refund policy is, and the handful of questions that come up before every discovery call.
- 01Who is this for?
- Founders and small-team operators who already know their business and are stuck on the harder problem of execution. If you have a few years of operating under your belt and you're trying to break a real bottleneck — a broken order-to-cash process, delivery that drowns the team, margins leaking through a handoff nobody owns — this is built for you.
- 02How is this different from a generic consultant?
- A typical consultant hands you a strategy deck and a check-in template. That's a presentation. This is a practice. The first phase is always an audit — your workflows, your operating numbers, your handoffs, and the actual gap between what you intend to ship and what ships — before any plan gets written. The deliverables are scoped to your specific bottleneck, not a template.
- 03What's the first step?
- Two options. You can book a 20-minute discovery call directly on the site, which gives us both a chance to see if there's a fit. Or you can run the AI scoping chat on the home page, which walks you through a structured intake and recommends a starting engagement based on your situation.
- 04How are engagements scoped and priced?
- Pricing is published as three ranges, not fixed packages. An Operations Audit runs $40–$150, scoped to your team size and number of workflows. A Systems Plan runs $150–$400, scoped to process complexity. A Build / Operations Sprint is from $400, quoted at a fixed price after a free 20-minute scoping call. Every engagement is scoped on that call, then quoted at a single fixed price for your exact situation — which is why no two invoices land at the same amount. Engagements start at $40, and the audit fee is credited toward whatever comes next.
- 05Why is my charge an unusual amount?
- Because each engagement is individually scoped and you pay your specific fixed quote, not a package price. We size the work to your exact situation — team size, number of workflows, process complexity — so the figure lands wherever your scoped quote lands inside the published band, often to the cent. That is by design: a flat sticker price could never reflect the actual scope of your work. On your statement the charge appears as "Operations consulting services — Engagement #[number]."
- 06What's the refund policy?
- Full refund within 14 days of starting an engagement, no questions asked. After 14 days, retainers and ongoing engagements prorate the refund based on what's been delivered. The bar is simple: if the work isn't producing what we agreed it would, you should not be paying for it.
- 07How long does an engagement run?
- Audits are 2-4 weeks: short, focused, deliverable-driven. Sprints run 4-8 weeks and combine an audit plus a build phase. Retainers — usually for founders running ongoing operations — are month-to-month with a 30-day off-ramp. There are no annual contracts.
- 08Can we work together remotely?
- Yes. The practice is 100% remote. Discovery calls and weekly check-ins run on video. Audits, plans, and written deliverables are async. We review your actual workflows and numbers via shared documents and screen-share. Clients are spread across the US and a handful internationally.
